ASPE Technology is a Strategic Certified training provider for Security Innovation's Software Security Testing and Coding courses

Security Innovation (SI) courses focus on the most difficult problems of IT security – those at the application layer. Exploitability of applications due to poor design has reached epidemic levels and perimeter/network defenses are not enough to protect your business. SI course helps you build, deliver, deploy and test applications to ensure your enterprise is secure as it can be.

Security Innovation Model: Intended vs. Implemented Application Behavior - While most functional bugs are the result of missing functionality, most security bugs are the result of extra functionality.

Security Innovation (SI) courses show an understanding that software security is dramatically different, more complicated, and more vital than traditional software development and testing – and that companies don’t typically have the skill set or tools they need to evaluate software security. SI courses have been delivered to some of the biggest names in the software industry, U.S and enterprise IT organizations including Microsoft, SAP, Cisco, Fed Ex, IBM, Symantec, and HP.

SI courses provides the knowledge that Developers, Testers, Integrators and all other SDLC professionals need to:
  • Expose dangerous security holes before you application is releases
  • Develop more secure code
  • Understand the myriad of security breaches & threats your organization faces
  • Assess the security of systems & develop an effective security test strategy
  • Use static & dynamic analysis to identify vulnerable “hot spots” in applications

Courses:

How to Break Software Security
(2-day course $1295 or $1095 each for two or more)
From the authors of How to Break Software Security

Learn how to recognize potential security holes before attackers do! This course is designed to give testers and developers the tools and techniques they need to help find security problems before their application is released. The course content is based on the first book to be published on the topic of application security testing: How to Break Software Security. This course will lay the foundation you need to effectively recognize and expose security flaws in software. It introduces a fault model to help testers conceptualize these types of bugs. The instructors will take you through a set of software attacks that have proven effective at exposing security bugs. You'll walk away with a full arsenal of software attacks to uncover security vulnerabilities in your software before hackers discover them for you.

Creating Secure Code in Java

(2-day course $1295 or $1095 each for two or more)
From the author of the Software Vulnerability Guide

This 2-day course presents the security features and pitfalls of the Java programming environment. Beginning with an investigation of the Java Virtual Machine and its security capabilities, we discuss byte code, class loading, and permissions. We’ll then examine known Java vulnerabilities and how to properly handle cryptography and conclude with Java coding best practices.

The course is mixed with hands-on examples, complementing the theoretical scope presentations.
