Ken Peterson, CCIE #4297, CCSP, is the President of PacketBrain, Inc., a training consultancy based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. He holds a broad range of Cisco certifications including the CCIE #4297, CCSP (Security), CIPTSS (IP Telephony), and CCNS (Content Networking.) When in the classroom, Ken's top-tier evaluation scores and customer feedback demonstrate his commitment to the student. Ken has been a Cisco-certified instructor since 1997. Ken has also created six self-paced CD-ROM training titles on campus switching, high-end routing, and voice technologies. Ken is currently involved in creating an online practice testing system to aid Cisco candidates in their preparation for Cisco certifications. Prior to starting PacketBrain, Inc., Ken worked at Cisco Systems in the TAC on WAN technologies (Frame and ATM) and large-scale routing protocol (OSPF and BGP) networks. Before Cisco, Ken worked at National Semiconductor on a team that designed 486 embedded CPUs. Ken began his career working at Nortel (BNR) on a broadband optical (DS-0 through OC-12) DACs system called the AccessNode. Ken has also co-developed the MPLS lab guides and has experience configuring MPLS on IOS-based platforms, the LS1010, the MGX, and BPX WAN switching platforms.
